I call this “Trial and Error”.  I’ve really whittled down the way to sew the whole faux gPant together to get the leg elastic how I want it, and make them look as polished and finished on the inside as they do on the outside.  I think my final process will help them hold up in the wash better than leaving the raw edge of the lining exposed. I’ve also reverse engineered (I think) a size small from my tracing. I am happy with 4 of these, they were all put together slightly different. I even tried one with non-stretch material, we’ll see if it works. After realizing that the size 20 snaps I used to make the liners for my first version would be way too bulky, and dig into the baby, I ordered some snap tape here that is supposed to be compatible with the real gLiners.  I think all told, a set of custom gPants that can interact with the brand-name system would make a fantastic gift for a new mom.  The gPants are the expensive part, and that is what is the most fun to make. Now I want to try to replicate a tiny gPant for newborns, but I’d need one to trace…
